Is It Time To Change Our Freerolls?

I placed a question/suggestion in the thread to our freeroll results post this evening. It was suggested that I put my comments/suggestion in this section. I hope many of you will ring in and let us know your opinions/suggestions as well. Here is what I posted there:

"We have about 28 or so eligible for these free rolls... should be getting more in these. Anyone have any suggestions that might make these games more meaningful? Perhaps it is time to put some of the funds towards other games? With only about half showing interest in attending these games.. could it be we should divert our attention elsewhere or is this attendance adequate"?

Not sure what you mean by "meaningful". There is $25 in the prizepool and 5 players get a piece of the money. And add in the fact that Juicy has a min. withdrawal of $500.... This, to me, makes every game a "meaningful" one.

No, I don't think you should put some or all of the funds towards other games. These games are a type of "reward" for those who support the buy-in games and/or have 25+ posts. It is nice to have a chance at a few buy-ins for the weekday games every weekend in the freerolls! Especially when you don't have a good week in the buy-in games. I personally think it helps keep attendance up in the weekday games as well. As for the players that are eligible and choose not to play these and/or post their screenname in the forum thread. If they "choose" not to, then so be it... That is their choice... You guys and gals as mods. here, more than go out of your way to try and get players to take advantage of these freerolls. BUT, you can only lead a donkey to water, you can't make him drink it... Some players just may be busy on weekends and can't play, or maybe just don't like to play freerolls... Who knows?? But I'm sure the other half of us that actually play them on the weekends, appreciate the games and opportunity... I know I do....

Thank you waterboy for your comments/reply. By more meaningful, I was referring to the other half of the eligible players who could be playing. It seems obvious that for one reason or another, we aren't getting the attendance we should be in these freerolls. My hope is to get players/members from both halves of this to reply/comment and make suggestions. Could be that many don't play these free rolls because of some of the reasons waterboy suggests.. or maybe other reasons involved. My point is that since these games are "rewards" for playing at least 2 of the buy ins per week, and posting 25 in total posts, that something else might stimulate the interest of those that do not play in these games.

We could use more buy in players in our games. We seem to only stay between 12 to 18 or so players in each game while having over 30 different players that have participated. Are we doing enough to get buy in players to play the games? Last week we had 10 players that only played 1 game. Seems those may not be motivated enough to join. I think we should be able to get over 20 players to these buy in games. Settling for what numbers we are having isn't good enough imo. Just hoping we can come up with something that could improve attendance to the buy ins... that is the goal.

Attendance to the freerolls is also a concern. Having the low numbers in these isn't helping us with Juicy I'm sure. I hope some players who aren't attending the freerolls will make comments/suggestions here as well... along with ALL members. Thank you for your comments/suggestions waterboy!

i said something kinda like waterboy did when i was saying congrats in results thread and i get were your comin from dats i just dont see the forum game/free game players like i had "but" dosnt mean they cant be found/find PBT!!!

Well my weekends have been up in the air lately and I haven't been able to get back in time to register and don't want to be a sitter

What about bring the LeaderBoard back and limited the freeroll to twice a month? just my 3cents

I think theses freerolls are great!Im new but as soon as im elligible ill play as many as im aloud !

theses freerolls are great/ it is a very good way to start up a bank roll for the buy ins

how about a leaderboard for free roll/ buy in winnings maybe 10$ or 20$ bankroll to like the top 50 100 members?? the free rolls is what gives us the money for the buy ins. don't need to limited the free roll to twice a month not if you want your Attendance up. some of the members may not have a bank roll or may be just now starting one. you need the free rolls for this. once you have a good bank roll stated then you play the buy ins with that money. I am working on my 25 post for the buy ins. soon I will be playing the buy ins once I get my 25 post. i don't mind doing post.

Thanks for your reply/suggestions. Only thing I might say there for now is that you don't need 25 posts to get into the buy ins. Those are open to ALL members. It's the freerolls that require 25 posts or playing in 2 buy ins per week. So, if your looking to get into our buy ins.. by all means do. Any member can see the password to our money added buy in games.. so jump in tomorrow night and have some fun!
