only one canadian team in the playoffs this year the montreal canaddians ;i have been a canadians{HABS) fan for as long as i can remember so ya know who i will be rooting for.

I am surprised Rogue that you are not as annoyed as I am, these new seeding and playoff format really screwed the Habs but even more the Lightning. The Lightning had the 3rd best record in the East, and the Habs had the 4th yet because the Atlantic Division was stronger than the Metropolitan they will end up facing each other in the first round and the Canadians don't even get home ice for the 1st round.
If they were playing in last years format the Habs would have home ice and play the weaker Rangers team and the Lightning would host the Flyers.
The real winner of this are MY Penguins. Although after saying that they will probably choke! lol. Because of this new alignment they get to play the 7th seed in the conference and if they win either the 5th or 6th seed as the Rangers and Flyers play each in other.
I think that this format will probably only last a year or two until they realize there mistake with this.
Here are my predictions.
I did do a 4 team parlay on the top 4 #1 seeds only because they all actually will play their respective seedings. I put $250 on Anaheim, Pittsburgh, Colorado, and Boston to win the first round series and it pays out $1000 Good Luck to everyone but Go Pens!
ya the new format is bad IMO but that looks like a good bet you made good luck but one thing worries me there is always an upset in rd 1 lol

I have that 4 team parlay out there which means I need to win 16 games to collect.....
I cut my magic number to 13 tonight when the Avalanche came back from a 4-2 deficit in the 3rd period to win in Overtime one of the best games of the playoffs by far well only because I have no money riding on the Blackhawks vs Blues Series. Triple Overtime for them tonight. I had my PIP going and watched that finale as well.
I have said for the last 10 years of my life that there are no better playoffs than the well the first 2 should seal the deal for the people on the fence!
Would love the Bruins and Ducks to win tomorrow night to make my magic number 11 and still be without a loss in all 4 series but tough games....

I bet on the 4 series of Round 2 as well, also as a parlay. I didn't have time to post it last night as I made the bet with very little time before the Habs game so take it for what its worth now. I have the Habs, Pens, Ducks and Wild. But I also made a second bet and had the Habs, Pens, Ducks and Hawks. I made the two bets for the Wild and Hawks series which to me the Wild look like they could win one more series and Crawford for the Hawks gives up a lot rebounds off shots. But to be safe I put $125 on each.
