Tips to Help You Beat Bounty Tournaments

Bounty tournaments are the same as regular tournaments, except for the fact that part of every players buy-in becomes a bounty on their head. If you knock someone out of the tournament you receive their bounty and the same thing goes that the person who knocks you out of the tournament gets your bounty. Of course if everything goes perfectly and you win the tournament, you get your own bounty back.


The majority of bounty tournaments have half of your buy-in go to the prize pool and half become the bounty, but this can be different at different rooms. For example at Carbon Poker half of the buy-in becomes the bounty, whereas at Cake Poker 1/3 is the bounty and at PKR it starts off as half of the buy-in, but when you knock someone out you only win part of their bounty and part of it is added to yours. very good advice for bounty hunters; i played a 2 dollar buyin bounty game today on party poker .2k gtd , 811 ppl in the game .i just didnt get many opportunities to nail anyone lol with less than 90 ppl left i got my one and only KO .went out 45th for a cash of almost 8 bucks .this was an unusually low number of bounties for me to get in a game where i lasted so long and with so many ppl in it but i didnt needlessly risk chips to try for 40 cent bounty and truthfully i didnt get many opportunities to ko anyone

Very good advice indeed. Us this for your bounty ventures and I'll bet you increase your odds of getting some good cash. I've played many bounty games where I didn't get any bounties to speak of.. even won one of the Tops 250 GTD Friday ones with no bounties until the HU lol! Sometimes they come easily and sometimes you just never seem to get in the right place at the right time.. but they will come.

Of course, a regular bounty game with a buy in with some of the prize pool going to bounties on each participant would be nice as well!
