SORRY BUD, But you didn't fool me with this performance.

1. In the beginning of the movie, he says he started 3 tabling cash tables online, when clearly it showed him on 4 tables. . i know the 4x4 layout from a long shot, its hard to not miss it .

2. He knows so much about playing online, but still only playing 3 tables.. by the way he was talking about poker, i would think maybe 6 to 8 tables a session at least. come on, your a online grinder who makes money to pay for school.

3. He didn't appeal as a online player. When you see online players talk, they seem kind of quite and distant, but the way they handle themselves isn't anything like J.t.'s character.

4. It makes you wonder if signing onto sites are rigged.

5. ben affleck is the boss who throws turkeys to alligators.

6. This is more like a good opportunity gone wrong type of movie. Alot of talk on playing cards, but nothing to give you the OOHHH ahhhhh type of feeling.

if you want to learn about strategy, i watched Enders Game yesterday , trust me when i heard that kid say HUD, and talking about simulations of recognizing patterns, I wanted to go online and play right away .



However one thing did appeal to me in the movie Runner Runner. The story of the character played a common experience i went through before I played cards. He worked at the wall street, I use to work in a commodities trading firm. He got fired because company thought it was better to let go of the employee, same to me... I went in one day, got the boot out of nowhere and it is for sure a shitty feeling , but also led me to do this..

So it is not a movie that will bring on another online poker boom?
