    Farewell but not goodbye

Over the last couple of months, my time on the forum has become less and less. This is not due to not wanting to be here but due to an illness that my wife has and its something we have come no closer to resolving. With out going into too much detail, basically her heart is not knowing when to control/regulate its beating. When she gets a scare, stresses or can just be walking around, her heart beats faster and the electrodes that tell the heart to stop beating faster and return to a normal pace are not sending that signal. The result is that she gasps for air and passes out and this can be anywhere and at anytime.

We have had heart monitors on to record periods of time from 24 hours to 72 hours and no specific trigger or occasion can be found at this stage. Several cardiologist meetings and many trips to the hospital have resulted in more questions and less known answers. I have kept this from the forum and the moderators hoping all would run smoothly but it is having the opposite effect and no light shining at the end of the tunnel. With this being said, I am sad to say this will be my last month running and organizing games for the forum.

With my wife not being fit to work as her work does not want to be liable for any black outs she may have or worse, it has left me working more hours and on call in case something happens at home with the wife. With the added responsibilities of the kids, household chores etc it has left me with little alone time. With the little spare to spend with the Mrs but the new project will also cease at the end of the month.

I especially want to thank the moderators SycoSteve, offrdmom, datsme53 and SnappySam for their support over the years and I feel we have become close online buddies.

I appreciate the time and effort the members have put in to the forum and showing up for the many games and the competitive spirit that has been shown. To the tracked players, I do hope you continue to stay tracked to my affiliate accounts, it would be appreciated and who knows what may happen in the future.

Very sorry to hear of these health issues with the little lady, and hope that the condition does not lead to any unfortunate incidents. I do hope that a cause and a correction/control can be found for the problem. I know this is quite a burden on you until there is a clear reason why she is having this problem. Best wishes to you and yours for a resolution soon.

Some would rather run down and get one cow. Nah, I think I'd rather walk down and get 'em all.

Sorry to hear about your wife's heart issues. My prayers are with you and your family. Like other's have already said, FAMILY COMES FIRST, ALWAYS! Hopefully, the doctors can, at least, get a handle on exactly what's causing it, and treat it. Here's to a speedy recovery. As far as the forum goes, I'll continue to check-in.
