    rewards system

have you thought about bringing in a rewards/points system similar to say other forums? players earn points for contributing to the forum and also playing at the tables under your links. you have members, games and a forum and it may be an extra way of generating interest to this place for all to enjoy.

We do have rewards established here at PBT. There are rewards for playing in our buy ins(2 buy in entries during the week or 25 posts in total, gets you in a $25 free roll). Being a winner or getting bubbled in a buy in during a given month, gets you in the Winner's $25 free roll the first Saturday of the month following. We will be having tracked free rolls for member who download or have downloaded from here as well. There will be other things coming soon. Using this rewards for participation theme we have here gives us some flexability to adjust as we go along. Members who want to stay on top of what is going on here will frequent the forum and keep up on the improvements and adjustments made. We need numbers to improve to keep the games coming and getting better. We do have a diverse membership here, which is good, but it does present challenges especially when it comes to having games at times that are appealing to everyone. So far, I'd say we are doing pretty well in that department, but more is always better for our buy ins. We have probably 30 different buy in players or close, but having them all play at all the games isn't likely. We need new members to join in on the fun of these games. So far we see a trickle of new buy in members. We are hoping new members that want to play our buy ins will increase, but we need all of our members to spread the word and bring in the players. The more we get into our buy ins, the better our games will get. It doesn't happen over night, but we are making some progress.

Word of mouth, Sharing, Tweeting, and chatting it up when playing at the tables are ways we can improve our numbers. Any other suggestions/actions in that area are appreciated. Thank you for your suggestion.

Thanks for explaining. You have a good base and adding things like cash, books, clothing and poker software may take this forum to another level.

All forums seem the same, same deals and gimmicks. Others tried points to play, surveys and other things to stimulate activity. Nobody has done them well enough to survive and prosper. A niche that is now neglected for us player's looking for that added something to keep us coming back and achieve rewards as well as helping the community environment.

As datsme53 mentioned, we run $400 a month in events at Juicy Stakes/Cake Poker and these have been running the since PBT launched in Feb. William Hill Poker has donated a Ipad 3 for our Feb League series at WHP to be given to the winner of the series. PBT also runs promotions with Titan Poker, Desert Nights Casino and Miami Club.

Onto your suggestion, we already have software installed to handle a rewards scheme. I just have not rolled it out as of yet and am looking at a Feb launch. The main concern being the conversion rate for points to $ value.
