    Lightbulb Posting replies in threads

We're happy with any quality replies in topics, of course, and please keep those coming. But, just wanted to alert you and help keep things in order for members who use alternative displays of threads to read the forum, namely "hybrid" or "threaded". These modes show posts within a thread as a tree so you can see what posts are related to each other.

When posting a reply that is really to the original post in the topic and not the latest one, please use the "post reply" button at the top of the page. This will keep your reply at the same tree level as the original post.

If you are replying to a specific post use either the "quote" or "multi-quote" button feature -- this way people will know what content you are addressing and you can select the relevant text from their post -- or the "post reply" underneath the post you are replying to. This will link your reply to the post in the thread trees as part of that branch. . .

You can change the way you see threads in topics by going to User CP > Edit Options and look for the "Thread Display Mode" option. . .

Thank you for your attention on this matter.

It's not something that would be obvious -- all "post reply" buttons are not the same -- but had to discover the secret when I saw posts not showing up in the tree where I intended them to be. . .
