Carbon Poker is one of the main poker rooms on the growing Merge network that also includes Aced Poker. Merge network rooms offer many unique software features that really spice up the game. The initial deposit bonus is lucrative, the competition is soft and many of the guaranteed prize pools have consistent overlays, all of which make Carbon Poker a very profitable poker room to play at.

Initial Deposit Bonus
Carbon Poker offers a 200% matching bonus up to $5000 on all first deposits. In order to release your bonus you must earn Comp Points by playing in ring games and tournaments. Tournaments award a fixed amount of Comp Points, which is shown on the tournament details screen when you register and ring games award comp points to every player dealt cards in a raked pot, with the amount depending on the total rake for the hand. Every 250 Comp Points you earn is equivalent to $1 of your bonus and the bonus is released in $10 increments. The bonus expires upon withdrawal and any amount of your bonus remaining at the time of your withdrawal is forfeit.
- Royal Flush Bonus – Hit a royal flush using your hole cards in any Texas hold’em ring game and win a bonus of 100 times the big blind.
- Refer-a-Friend – $25 for your friend, $25 plus a $25K freeroll ticket for you.
- Freerolls – Earn Comp Points to qualify to play in daily $1000, weekly $2K & $10K and monthly $50K freeroll tournaments. For example to play in the $10K weekly freeroll players must have earned 2500 comp points that month.
- Live Tournaments – Qualify for major tournaments, such WPT and APPT events and the Aussie Millions.
Carbon Poker runs a lot of low buy-in tournaments. Most of the tourneys are under $20 and some of them have pot overlays where the poker rooms guarantees more than the buy-ins. These tournaments are basically money added and are great value for the player.
The sit and go tournaments up to $22 at Carbon Poker usually fill, but quite slowly. The higher buy-ins sometimes fill, but you can’t count on it. Carbon has a lot of bounty sit and go tournaments where half of the buy-in is the bounty and the other half goes to the prize pool.
Carbon Poker offers a wide variety of ring games. The hold’em tables consistently have games up to $3/$6. The other game varieties, including Omaha, 7 Card Stud, razz, HORSE, 5 card stud, 5 card draw, triple draw and badugi, are offered, but they rarely have many games running at once. Some of the players per flop percentages are very high, which could translate into Carbon being a profitable poker room for a tight aggressive player.
Carbon also gives you the option of playing some casino games including blackjack, roulette and Caribbean stud, as well as video poker and backgammon.
Software & Graphics
Carbon Poker has good, crisp software with a lot of extra features. The tables are resizable with no loss in the quality of graphics, which makes multi-tabling very doable. The merge network has many unique features including: rabbit hunting which allows you to see what cards would have come after the hand is over, the option to expose one or two hole cards and even the option to “deal it twice” on certain tables.
Carbon is still a relatively new site that has hosted many freerolls in order to gain a player base which translates to a relatively weak competition pool. The players per flop percentages are up around 40-50% and even around 70% at the micro-stakes. A solid tight aggressive player could easily build their poker bankroll at Carbon Poker and if needed move to a bigger poker room once they have outgrown the small buy-ins and limits.
